Stupid People

23.02.29 - Mark

Yeah, I guessed it. The Moderator, and the candidates all managed to avoid things that the veeps might have some sort of power over, even if it isn't much. For everything else Cheny was much stronger, but only because of his experience. Edwards is mostly inept. He was answering questions a round late. If he was semi-intelligent he would have stayed on point.

However considering that the most important function of veep is to represent the american people I don't think either was very strong. Cheney wants us to be fearful of the terrorists. Edwards, well I can't really say much about Edwards, he didn't seem to have a point.

Still, they were just regurgitating what the presidential candidates were saying last week. I suppose its reasonable - it is a package deal - but I'd like to see some independent thought.

I find cheney to be a crappy speaker, and very unlikable, vote Mike for president. I'm taking volunteers for VP (mark?, sam?, geo?, matt?)(no not sam)
All options Suck for the elections (even in SC), wake me up in 2008, or when there are worthwhile canidates (gosh I may never wake up!).

Aren't you starting a little early Mike, you can't be elected President of the US for another 20 years, unless you're planning to be a very efficient politician and get the Constitution changed a little in the mean time...

Screw that I wan't to be the president now so everyone can gripe when i'm not working, and crap all over me when I am.

Here's some independent thought: Cheny has publicly stated he was against a Constitutional amendment to ban gay marriages: the exact opposite of Bush. And no, those colons aren't ratios... even if the sentence turned out that way.

Fine 90 seconds of free thought in 90 minutes of BS. That's not a good ratio.

However even with that brief moment, I don't think Cheney is a stong veep. Edwards comes a little (and just a little) closer to being able to voice the concerns of the average american IMO.

Cheney is just too much of a big brother figure for me to accept as a vice president. If he can crave away at his own inability to admit he's wrong I think he would be fine in just about any other upper executive branch position 'specially the defence stuff. Big if tho'
