I had this idea yesterday, noticing that I still had a couple of cell phones from a previous service from before I moved and remembered that one of the most amazing Hacks I've seen was Aurora 8260 done by the amazing Dr. Bob. While I doubt I'm insane enough to do his LED mod on a new phone a couple of old phones and some LEDs would be good. Besides they are the old models that don't allow face plates and ring tones, not that I want that. So the plan would be change the LEDs to blue with some 0603 packege LEDs and paint the plastics with Hammered Black rustolium. Maybe a glossy clear coat over that and I've got a phone thats 100% unique. This could be fun- besides I always need an excuse for more electronics stuff.
