As promised, I'm going to be working on putting up blog entries now that my summer job has ended. As a start This is outrageous. If I had to pay a reliscencing fee on all my used hardware, I'd owe several thousand dollars.
As I see it it's leading to brand loyality, HP printers, Apple computers, Panasonic home entertainment hardware, Nintendo game systems, Asante networking gear, ect. If I'm paying fees on the used hardware, then I'm not going to be looking at their new gear even if it costs more. I definatly agree with some of the people interviewed for that story.
