As pointed out in the speach, we forget about the need and value of skilled labor, how many careers it encompasses, and how we're taken such knowlege out of K12 education. The Home Economics and Vocational Tech classes I took in middle school and early high school had as big an influece on me as advanced math and programming. While our society needs to call for higher educations, by no means do we need to throw away skilled labor education like it was dead weight. [via AdaFruit Blog]
