Curse these *&^%in computers. First the Star Max 3000 (Gibson) has a mass hard drive failure, and the evening before the Beige G3 (family's) dies. The only reason I'm online now is because I pulled out the 6100 I got about a week ago.

Have you looked at a Dr. Pepper bottle recently? Cuz the one I'm looking at now is calling itself a weapon

"< ! > WARNING
CONTENTS UNDER PRESSURE, CAP MAY BLOW OFF CAUSING EYE OR OTHER SERIOUS INJURY. POINT AWAY FROM FACE AND PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY WHILE OPENING."

First the school says no drugs, and freely distrubites caffine (yes, it is a regulated substance) and now it says no weapons but allows us to buy projectile based weapons on school grounds? Hope the school board isn't reading, if they figure those two items out those pop machienes are gone in 30 minutes.

Over the last couple of days I've been studying Nuts and Volts a hobby magizine for electonics buffs. Among other things its packed with schematics and advertizing (well, really thats all there is...) and I keep thinking about a Basic Stamp or another Micro processor to translate signals from the twiddler and then send them to a Mac, going from serial to ADB. Granted I'd need to do a lot more documentation but I think that would be a much better solution to my input device problem since I still haven't gotten the Twiddler 1 hack (the MIT documented one) to work. Maybe I need to order a couple basic stamps now.

New version of iCab and I'm using it right now. So far I'm loving it and will probably go back to using icab full time (yeah!) ATM I'm running it though my usual rounds. Supposedly it also has tabbed browsing, but how to get it to work...

As promised, I'm going to be working on putting up blog entries now that my summer job has ended. As a start This is outrageous. If I had to pay a reliscencing fee on all my used hardware, I'd owe several thousand dollars.

As I see it it's leading to brand loyality, HP printers, Apple computers, Panasonic home entertainment hardware, Nintendo game systems, Asante networking gear, ect. If I'm paying fees on the used hardware, then I'm not going to be looking at their new gear even if it costs more. I definatly agree with some of the people interviewed for that story.
